Sun Surf focused on the painters of Edo period when Japanese arts and culture spread further, and printed the works of these masters on the canvas called aloha shirts. The collection named "National Treasure of Japan" includes the passions of the great arts which Japan is proud of to the world. In Hokusai of his later years, many works depicting dragons on hanging scrolls can be seen. Since the dragon was a holy beast and was favored as a lucky charm to dispel evil spirits, many work requests as a New Year's piece of artwork came to him at that time. And this work, in which dragon summons black clouds and ascends beyond Mt.Fuji, is considered the feeling of Hokusai himself in his later years is projected on. This work is one of Hokusai's representative Nikuhitsu paintings (original drawings) drawn with skillful brush strokes using Sotoguma. "BOKUGA" is a style of painting that is drawn with ink. The feature is that not only the depiction of lines, but also expression of light and shade by using Bokeh with calligraphy ink on the whole area. This Hawaiian shirt follows Hokusai's work and is printed with "calligraphy ink" pigments at printing.

Condition:

This shirt has been worn but is overall in good condition. Some signs of wear but nothing obvious. This is a size XL and fits like a Large.
